Yes. Yes. The Air Conditioner Is Finally Fixed!

I had to keep asking and then at the end (Sunday Night) I only had to whine ever so slightly and finally got that sucker going again. Thankfully it's been breezy and just the right temp so I haven't actually needed it.

I know everyone has heard of Crocs. Haven't you? I'm here to tell you about Traps. I've tried on Crocs but I didn't fall in love with them. And I really couldn't see myself paying $30 for plastic shoes. And I don't feel the need to keep up with the Joneses who all seem to be wearing them. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating.

I'm a bargain hunter. I was on a hunting expedition for a new pair of walking shoes (of which I found. Thanks New Balance!) I ran across, what I thought, was a knock off brand of Crocs called Traps. They look similar but they are all backless that I've seen. I slipped my naked foot into a pink pair and felt I'd found my soul mate. They are so soft and pillowey. My fat sausages can breathe thru the vent holes along the top and sides. I can shop in them, garden, work, walk. They are so versatile. When they get dirty you can hose them off or take a magic eraser to them and they come as clean as the day you buy them. I wore a pair when I pulled those weeds a while back. Hosed them off and they are as good as new.

I haven't even gotten to the best part. The first pair I got at Mervyns were only $11. You can't beat that. Or so I thought. While on another hunting mission this weekend for $5 jeans (and yes, I did find several pairs of $5 jeans) ASK ME HOW! I found the above light blue pair for $15 at Famous Footwear. I signed up for their discount card and received a $10 coupon which I can bring back to the store along w/ my receipt and get these suckers for 5 BUCKS. Can you beat that???
