Thursdays ROCK! If you have Friday's off. Saw a meme on Jules formerly known here as J not to be confused with my fiance who is also J. Your best friend tells you she is pregnant. What is your reaction? Hmm since that isn't possible w/ her husband, I'd have to ask who the father was??? When is the last time you wanted to punch someone in their face? About a year ago. Wedding Updates I've been slowly making progress on some of the wedding details. I'm trying to get a few things done here and there. It's all kind of been falling into place. I guess like it's meant to be (grins big). We have spoken to the future MIL and she is graciously letting us have the wedding/reception there. I talked with her yesterday and she was trying to tell me that I should come see her place first, in case I'm picturing something else. I told her that when I picture my wedding, I see her son and I getting married. Not anything really about the details. I hope that put her mind at ease. We talked about where we'd like to spend our first weekend as a married couple. While the ocean constantly calls my name, it's quite a long drive from where his mother's house is and we decided we didn't want to spend that much time in the car. I ended up finding the most awesome little cabin only about an hour away that is perfect. It's owned by an older couple who were very excited we'd be spending our honeymoon there. I have my dress, Autumn's dress and now the flower girls dress. Gotta love Target... We seem to be leaning towards having black and white as our colors. This is the only part of the wedding I'm not feeling so traditional about. I didn't formally pick out colors or dress styles for my ladies. Frankly, I told them to wear whatever. Pants will be fine. And now, if they can be mostly black and white, cool. The feel so far for this wedding really, is I'm inviting you over for a backyard BBQ and oh by the way, you can witness me marrying my soul mate! Just a small intimate family affair. I can't take too many eyes looking at me... Another cute little find were these flutes Mickey and Minnie dancing. I'm his Minnie. Seriously, am I making you gag? Sorry. I wanted something cute to use that day, and every special occasion after. J is coming home from a business trip tonight. Happy Valentines Day BABY!! Happy Valentines Day Bitches! Normally in life, I would not be a happy go lucky girl on this day. It would be another day for me to be bitter tasting day where I would feel unappreciated and unwanted. Watching others getting roses. Or talking about their dinner plans. Listen to my co-worker talk about his wife making him heart shaped meatloaf. Ok, how cute is that??? Today my friends, all that changes. My baby and I are celebrating our very first valentines day together and it's already pretty much the BEST. EVER. I can't remember even celebrating or going out since 1992. I could be blocking, but it's makes for a better story to stick w/ having a dry spell since 1992. So far, I've received this The first message I received this morning I received a beautiful love letter and card. We are going out to dinner tonight at PF Changs, which I love. And because we could only get reservations at 5, I get to leave work early today!!! Can't get better than that! Happy Valentines Day to all you lovers out there. And even you singles, love will find you. It will. I love you baby most of all. You are the reason for my smile. I can't wait to spend 50 more valentines with you. Book Meme I can actually do, as I am reading a book! Maya's Granny tagged me for this meme and I'm happy to oblige her. So here’s the rules of the Meme: 1. I am currently reading Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. And I'm loving it. I feel like the author and I are having a personal conversation every time I pick it up. It is in fact, the only book nearest to me at the moment. Page 123, Like all great philosophical ideas, this one is simple to understand but virtually impossible to imbibe. Ok, so we are all one, and divinity abides within us all equally. No problem. The philosophical idea was that "Our whole business therefore in this life, is to restore to heath the eye of the heart whereby God may be seen." Thank you Cherry, for sharing this book with me!! I Got The Dress!!! haha This ISN'T IT! This was my #1 online pick before I went and tried them on yesterday. LynnDenise said it looked like a nightgown. I didn't mind, I thought it was beautiful, but didn't hide my flaws well enough. I had fun yesterday, spending the day in my underwear for all to see. It went so much better than I expected. It was a perfect, successful day. I brought along my mom, my former sister in law and super BFF LynnDenise and Cherry from Cherry Extract. (being that she's now the resident Uber-bride for now til she passes the torch onto me) Dresses tried on? About 8 Dresses I got stuck in? 1 (Stupid mermaid dress!) #1 picks? 3 I tried on 2 other dresses similar to the one I ended up with and each time I thought I'd found THE ONE, til I tried on the next and ended up with the 3rd. Things I discovered? In theory, a corset dress is very beautiful, but I don't like standing there being sewn into a dress! Bigger, is not better. And I'm going to be sweating like crazy in August wearing layers and layers of dress! I was lucky enough to pick my gown and buy it on the spot and take it home with me yesterday. My mom paid for the gown, the veil and the petticoat. Isn't she the greatest ever? Please tell her so in comments, cuz she reads this crap! Now we need to find her something special to wear, she is going to be walking me down the isle! I'm really starting to feel this train picking up speed and I'm loving it! I was great yesterday, I didn't know metamorphasize into bridezilla. Just a happy girl, having one of the best moments of her life.
